Four dining areas offer guests a traditional and contemporary gastronomic experience. Refectorio – holding one Michelin Star, a Green Star and two Repsol Suns, serves avant-garde classics, based on seasonal locally-sourced on grown-on-site produce, which pair well with the estate’s wine; Vinoteca – offers an unassuming and sophisticated experience in a laid-back setting amongst the winery’s private collection to enjoy market cuisine and sharing plates with over 40 quality wines to try; Cloister Garden – Vinoteca’s terrace open throughout the summer and where breakfast is served; and Calicata Terroir Bar – a special wine bar surrounded by vineyards and pine trees, offering a gastronomic menu based on fresh local produce and the perfect spot to taste the estate’s own wines and others from leading producers. Abadía Retuerta sits within an enclave by the river Duero, which defines the surrounding terroir and consequently its first-rate wine produced from the best grapes within the vineyards. Cueva de los Monjes (the Monks’ Cave) is their collection of exceptionally rare vintages.

The estate affords exclusive spaces and services for wellbeing, exercise and relaxation. Guests have full access to the award-winning Santuario Wellness & Spa, spanning over 1000 sq.m. Located underground with several light sources guaranteeing 80% natural light, the decalcified water is extracted from a 120-metre deep well, which after undergoing reverse osmosis results in high-quality drinking water, similar to natural mineral water. There is an indoor pool, 24-hour gym with Technogym, TRX and Kinesis equipment, yoga classes (including yoga in the vineyards, water yoga or mindfulness), bicycles and a range of different fitness programmes. The ‘Spa Sommelier’ advises guests about thermal treatments, leads blind tasting of wines and different essential oils. A magnificent outdoor pool, nestled amidst the vineyards, opens exclusively for guests during the summer season, with dedicated Pool Butlers on hand to provide guests with sun cream, sunglasses, caps, towels and cool water. The open-air Pool Bar is the perfect spot for a delicious light lunch or barbecue, as well as a signature cocktail and the estate’s own wine.
