  Teranka showcases a sculpture park and a private art collection, together with annual exhibitions and art installations. This season in 2023, London native and Ibiza resident, Katrina Phillips has worked alongside Teranka owner, Jennica Arazi to curate a bespoke collection of pieces, ranging from stand-alone installations to abstract photographs and commissioned pieces that speak to the elements of Teranka – air, sea, and land.

  Light-filled and enriched with contemporary art, Teranka’s 35 refined rooms and suites are situated within three buildings – Mar, Tierra, and Cielo. The rooms at Mar in the main building afford exquisite views of the turquoise sea, the swimming pool terrace and the verdant pine tree canopy to La Mola, the highest point of Formentera. Tierra is built from local Formentera stone and comprises deluxe rooms and junior suites, each with a private terrace and Mediterranean garden. The rooftop double room offers a large terrace with sea views. Set among pine trees and nature, Cielo is evocative of a small Formentera finca, featuring impressive panoramas from tranquil rooftop suites.

  Teranka offers a soulful gastronomic adventure throughout the day. The Teranka Garden is inspired by a traditional finca, where guests are invited to dine on fresh local staples combined with hints of Middle Eastern flavours, in a laid-back setting. The outdoor kitchen and bar lead to an expansive terrace and sand garden with adjacent vegetable and herb gardens, and the outdoor Chef’s Table provides an extra special dining experience of signature dishes for up to 14 people. Upstairs on Teranka’s Rooftop is a bar serving tapas, crudos, sushi and bespoke cocktails with beautiful views across Migjorn beach and the pines. Guests can relax on sunbeds on the pool terrace enjoying snacks and drinks, or enjoy an in-room meal with romantic views from the privacy of their balcony or terrace.

  Teranka is a sanctuary for the soul and a haven of rest for the body and mind. The hotel offers diverse wellness offerings, from the comfortable poolside cabanas/day beds to the outdoor jungle-style gym with exercise apparatus constructed from natural materials, expert-led yoga, Pilates and meditation classes in the landscaped gardens or outdoor deck, personal training and natural massage and beauty therapies. Nature and the international language of art inspire the revitalising wellness rituals held in treatment rooms in the main Mar building.

  Teranka is committed to sustainable practises, in line with Formentera’s policy of sustainable tourism. The hotel has its own world-class water filtration system, avoids single-use plastics where possible and endeavours to use sustainable and reusable materials. The island allows a strictly limited number of cars on the island, however, Teranka has its own vehicles for guest transfers. Bikes, electric bikes, and scooters can be hired from specialists across the island. Guests are encouraged to walk or cycle to discover the island’s 32 ‘green routes’ of flat rural paths and tracks winding through picturesque villages and verdant vineyards, its four historic watchtowers, the highest point of Pla de La Mola, hidden coves and emblematic lighthouses.
