St Nicolas Bay offers a supreme collection of five gourmet eateries and two bars, all of which serve innovative Cretan cuisine, using the finest local ingredients. Venues include Labyrinthos, The Blue Bay, Minotaure, The Greek Kafenion, The Astra Bar, and Bonatsa Jetty Bar. There are different live music performances every night, and guests can enjoy sunset views across the sea. The hotel’s wine cellar offers a great selection of international and Greek labels. Guests can enhance their culinary experience with the ‘Dine Around’ à la carte menus. Weekly market visits can be arranged, alongside an accompanying Cooking Class to learn famous local recipes.

In 2023, St Nicolas Bay opened an enchanting new 6,000 sq.m outdoor nature area with play huts and pathways, perfect for younger children, and teenagers can enjoy a large games room complete with PlayStation, music bar, video wall, billiards table, table tennis and cinema. St Nicolas Bay offers an exclusive variation of private excursions around the island. These include a tour of Spinalonga Island by motorboat to explore its ancient history; a round-tour of Southern and Eastern Crete; a hike to the plateau of Lassithi and the Cave of Zeus; a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion; as well as sailing boat tours and hiking tours across the peninsula. Exhilarating water activities are available at the hotel’s ‘Blue Flag’ beach including water skiing, windsurfing, canoeing and jet skiing with experienced instructors.

Its authentic architecture has solely been built using locally sourced materials, with stylish low buildings that integrate naturally into the surrounding landscape, gardens and olive tree forests. The cuisine served at the hotel is seasonal and produce is only sourced from local trusted companies and farms, as well as the in-house garden. St Nicolas Bay has been awarded the ‘Think Green’ award for using sustainable methods relating to solar power, recycling kitchen oil to produce soap and using ECOLAB cleaning products in rooms. It has also recently been awarded “The Green Key” – a prestigious eco-label that represents the commitment of the hotel to adhere to strict criteria set by the Foundation for Environmental Education, as well as the “Blue Flag” certificate, for maintaining cleanliness of the surrounding beach and seawater.
