Overview: Located in the picturesque village of Wengen, the Grand Hotel Belvedere, is nestled at an elevation of 1274 metres and affords direct access to the Jungfraujoch with breathtaking views of the Schilthorn, Silberhorn and Jungfrau Mountains. Being a UNESCO heritage site, guests are provided with valet service and luggage assistance at Lauterbrunnen, easing the transfer to Wengen via a 12-minute panoramic ride on the historic Cog Railway, before being chauffeured to the resort in electric cars. The hotel is set to open in September 2024.

Accommodation: The hotel comprises two historical buildings with 90 rooms and suites, ideal for individuals, couples and families. Boasting spacious and comfortable rooms that reflect the rich artisan heritage of the Berner Oberland, interiors blend urban functionality with timeless Alpine warmth and style. Most of the 71 Superior and Deluxe bedrooms offer stunning views of the Jungfrau and come with balconies. The 19 suites offer large bedrooms, lounge and dining areas, separate shower and bathtub, and a balcony. The interconnecting rooms cater perfectly to families, ensuring comfort and convenience.

Dining: Grand Hotel Belvedere celebrates the flavours of the Jungfrau region. The Brasserie Belvedere and Restaurant Waldrand present a modern take on Swiss culinary traditions, featuring dishes like forest mushroom ragout, pure Alpine salmon, and Luma ribeye with mountain hollandaise. Guests can also enjoy a classic fondue on the Sonnenbad terrace. The hotel’s cuisine highlights local produce, transformed with contemporary techniques to create new classics. Two bars include the Belvi Salon – an elegant and intimate end-of-day space, serving herbal and floral infusions, Swiss wines, spirits and bespoke cocktails, and the Bergwald Bar – a Swiss-style counter, for specialty coffee and sweet treats such as zigercake or gotthelftorte.
