France becomes top European market for Adriatic Luxury Hotels

Objective

  • To drive awareness of Dubrovnik as a destination for leisure travel and to increase performance and room revenue for Adriatic Luxury Hotels from the French market

Strategy

  • Targeted top travel agencies in France, presenting the hotels and focusing on the highlights of the destination, which was not well known in France, followed by organised familiarisation trips to Dubrovnik
  • The team travel to Paris regularly throughout the year to share news with partners and build strong awareness.
  • Remained active in the marketplace throughout the pandemic due to continual direct flights from Paris to Dubrovnik and the ability to travel into Croatia
  • Agreed bespoke promotional activities with the agencies, such as newsletters, website inclusions etc
  • Direct networking opportunities for representatives of the hotel group with senior decision makers of France’s most high-end travel agents at at Mason Rose’s annual events in Paris
  • We combined the above sales exposure with press and influencer activities

Results

  • Since 2019 the French market has been growing year on year, even during the pandemic, and has become one of the top European markets for Adriatic Luxury Hotels
  • The hotel group has decided to invest more in this market with the addition of more Sales and PR activity
