Forbes Travel Guide unveiled its annual Star Rating list this week, which saw the enchanting Royal Mansour in Marrakech achieve the prestigious Forbes Five Star Rating.
Marrakech achieved two five-star ratings (Royal Mansour and Mandarin Oriental), two four-star ratings (Four Seasons Resort Marrakech & La Mamounia), and two recommended hotels (Amanjena & Selam Marrakech).
Please see below a few key reasons for why Royal Mansour was awarded the Forbes Five Star Rating:
- The air of exclusivity that envelopes the entire property, from the sprawling riads and private pools to the trickling fountains and quiet courtyards
- The sumptuous spa that offers an array of indulgent treatments – including a facial that features melted honey
- The exciting addition of Le Jardin, with its ‘sparkling outdoor pool’, ‘plush cabanas’, ‘al fresco sushi spot’, and beautifully landscaped gardens
- The wide array of once-in-a-lifetime Moroccan experiences that the hotel can organise, including riding camels through the desert, dining in Bedouin tents or taking a hot-air balloon ride over the Sahara
The Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star hotel ratings are recognised among the hospitality industry as being uniquely selective, rigorous and highly coveted. The Forbes Travel Guide created the Five-Star system in 1958 when it was Mobil Travel Guide and it is the only independent, global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas. Its incognito inspectors make evaluations on up to 900 objective standards. With decades of experience spanning 52 countries, it is the global authority on luxury stays.
