  2. The Nam Hai Boasts an Organic Farm and Rewarding Cookery Classes

    The Nam Hai is taking organic freshness in the resort’s fragrant Vietnamese and International cuisine to a new level with the introduction of its own Organic Farm. Covering a hectare plot of previously unused land, the farm now boasts an abundant organically-grown crop including; red basil, coriander, lemongrass, water spinach and mustard lettuce for use in gourmet dishes and exotic cocktails.

    Guests at the The Nam Hai can gain a new understanding of Vietnamese ingredients and the cuisine itself by exploring the farm in their own time or as part of the resort’s cookery classes and Children’s Club. Classes are offered on a daily basis and can be tailored to suit experience and even include special classes for the whole family.

    Executive Chef Conrado Tromp, who conceived and now manages the farm, comments: “Many guests are intrigued by Vietnamese culture and cuisine and with the organic food movement spreading to all corners of the world, we realised that we had an opportunity at The Nam Hai to offer guests something different from other resorts through the creation of our organic farm.
